Some Typical Questions

Orthodontic treatment at Citrus Grove Orthodontics

Placing braces does not usually cause pain, but temporary pressure or tenderness is common after placement and adjustments. Our orthodontic team can recommend appropriate comfort measures based on your health history and symptoms.

Temporary cheek irritation and tooth tenderness can occur while adjusting to braces. Careful brushing, flossing, and regular follow-up help reduce preventable problems. Contact our orthodontic office if a bracket or wire breaks, discomfort is severe, or you have another concern.

Braces treatment typically lasts between six months and three years, depending on factors such as age, the severity of the issue, and the patient’s adherence to care guidelines. We will discuss your personalized treatment timeline during the initial consultation to set expectations and review progress.
